Been playing poker on Facebook for some time now...and am just starting to get into a couple of local tournaments and actual poker sites. I seem to have the skill...but Lady Luck has always kept me at arm's length...so wish me luck!

Oh man poker on facebook. Just hearing that makes me want to claw my eyes out. As you can guess I have played it to lol. Good luck with your new poker hobby and welcome to the forum. There are a good bit of very skilled players here and more to come should help the learning curve.

Yeah, Zynga Poker is not what I would call the elite...heheh...more like Donksville if you asked me...but I guess everyone's gotta start somewhere.

Getting into Poker has been kind of a surprise for me. I'm not a risk/reward gambler-type guy. I guess it's the math/probability angle that triggers my brain intrigue.

I don't have any "official" poker nicknames as of yet...although one girl dubbed me "Plaid Hat Man" at the first freeroll I went to. At first, I figured I'd hang myself before keeping that as a nickname...but it's been kinda growing on me...kinda like a fungus.

Well I am currently playing Zynga Poker on myspace. I have to agree there are alot of idiots that will call anything with anything. But I've seen fairly decent players while playing there. I've played with you Mark on the tables. I see alot of great potential in you. Best of luck my friend...

Thanx for the encouraging words...and seeing as I'm currently between jobs, I'm hoping to go the Begleiter route and put that potential to good use. I was quite surprised to see a copy of Doyle's Super System under the tree...so the wife must share in that aspiration for me as well!
